3-Day Tour of Southern Albania Itinerary
Day 1: Tirana – Vlora – Llogara National Park – Qorre Peak – Llogara National Park
- At 9:00 a.m., the tour guide will pick you up from your accommodation in Tirana to begin our journey to Southern Albania.
- We’ll stop in Vlore, where the Adriatic and Ionian Seas collide.
- Around 12:30 p.m. you will get some free time to enjoy a wonderful lunch and walk about on your own until 14:00 p.m.
- After lunch, we’ll continue our Tour of Southern Albania to Mount Cika, with the goal of hiking Qorre Mountain, the second-highest peak in the Ceraunian Mountains.
- Accommodation at Llogara National Park.
Day 2: Llogara National Park – St. Andreas Bay
- We will head out to St. Andreas Bay, Albania’s hidden treasure.
- There, we’ll trek down the ancient Caesar’s path to get to a secret beach (which takes around 6 hours to reach).
- The path leads to the summit of the Karaburun Peninsula, where we begin our descent towards St. Andreas Bay, at heights ranging from 800 to 1240 meters.
- We will set up camp (the equipment will be delivered by horse), build a fire by the beach, watch the sunset, count the stars, and eat wild fish roasted over an open fire.
- Accommodation in tents.
- Breakfast and dinner included in the price.
Day 3: St. Andreas Bay – Karaburun Peninsula – Palasa – Tirana
- After a final swim in the crystal-clear waters, we’ll have breakfast with a view of the sea.
- We then pack up our tents and set off to explore more of the Karaburun Peninsula
- While hiking, we will come across deserted beaches, abandoned old churches, and underground tunnels once used by pirates.
- We will reach Palasa Beach, one of the most beautiful in Southern Albania.
- Our next stop is the Albanian Riviera’s balcony, where we’ll have a typical lunch with a panoramic view.
- In the late afternoon, we will arrive in Tirana, where our Tour of Southern Albania will end.
Optional
From May to September, travelers who prefer to explore the coastline to Palasa by boat rather than hiking can do so for 40 Euro per person, with a minimum of 3 people/boat.
