Opian Hill (Parco del Colle Oppio)
After you’ve visited the Colosseum and/or the Roman Forum, these green hills are like an oasis. Most of the Colle Oppio is actually the roof of the Domus Aurea. While strolling through the park, travelers can see the windows of the rooms of the Golden House of Nero. They can also see the large vestiges of Trajan’s Baths, spread all over the park grounds.

Villa Borghese
Villa Borghese is one of the largest green spaces in Rome, covering 688 hectares. Cardinal Scipione Borghese transformed the vast family grounds into a private park in 1608. Four years later, the park was open to the public.
Its gardens, statuaries, fountains, paths, pavilions, and water clock make it interesting to visit. Villa Borghese is also the home to three art galleries: Galleria Borghese, Galleria Nazionale d’Arte Moderna, and Villa Giulia.
